Clary Sage Essential Oil

£6.00
sold out

Clary Sage Essential Oil - 10mls

100% pure essential oil, bottled in the UK in an amber glass bottle

Soothing, anti-inflammatory and calming but is also a uterotonic which means it can stimulate contractions in your uterus. there is no evidence to say that it can induce labour (or we would just use this instead of inductions in hospital!) but lots of people say it can strengthen contractions. It can also help with fear and anxiety before or during labour.

£6: Collection in person only

Note:

  • For external use only and do not apply it undiluted to your skin (mix with a carrier oil)

  • Only use after 37 weeks of pregnancy and consult your midwife if you have any questions/concerns

  • Store in a cool dry place

  • Do a patch test before using

How to use:

  • Put 4 drops in a bowl of warm water and use it as a footbath

  • Mix it with 20mls an unscented carrier oil - 4 drops if you are pregnant but then 8 drops if you are in labour

  • Put 4 drops in a bowl of water and then drop a flannel in, then wring out and apply to skin. A warm towel can go on top of it to increase absorption

  • Put 4 drops in a bowl of warm water, swish it around and then inhale it with your head under a towel or leave near you to inhale
